Due to growth and customer demand, CommScope is looking to add a Director, Sales – Central Office to our service provider sales team. This position can be located virtually anywhere in the U.S.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

This sales director position is accountable for strategically selling the breadth of passive inside-plant fiber optic products to service providers across North America. This role requires a balanced sales effort involving sales/account management skills and product knowledge/problem-solving/solution skills. You will coordinate the sales and customer relationship process to meet assigned financial objectives, including the achievement of product sales/solution sales goals. Travel up to 60% is required.

Account Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.

  • Understand client needs, objectives, and business challenges to provide tailored telecommunications solutions.

  • Regularly meet with clients to review performance, discuss opportunities, and address any concerns or issues.

  • Supports the regions in penetrating Commscope CCS products into the regional markets for their named accounts. Participates in territory analysis and planning to enable appropriate allocation of time to accounts and customers. Assesses market opportunities and develops business plans to meet revenue objectives.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive growth within key accounts.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.

  • Collaborate with the regional sales team to communicate and implement the overall account strategy to the regional customer contacts and partners.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals and presentations for clients.

  • Align a channel strategy around the Key Account.

Market Analysis and Development:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

  • Utilize market insights to identify new business opportunities and enhance account strategies.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support.

  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

Reporting and Administration:

  • Track and report on sales performance, account status, and market trends.

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and contact details in the CRM system.

  • Participates in monthly forecast analysis to assist S&OP in aligning demand and financial planning.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 or more years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in Account Planning, Forecasting, Product Service/Solution

  • Ability to influence purchasing decisions while becoming a trusted advisor

  • History supporting inside plant passive fiber optic products and/or service provider customers.

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including, but not limited to, benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected total targeted salary range (base and sales incentive plan) for this position is $177,400.00 to $206,000.

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, three weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
