CommScope is looking to add a Technician, RF to our Base station Antenna R&D team in Goa!
How will you help us connect the world:
This resource will be responsible to provide a multiple variety of technical support tasks using basic engineering/electronics/mechanical principles and techniques to solve mildly complex problems. Assist in the RF tuning, development, construction and testing of, but not limited to, base station antennas and processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work under minimal supervision and guidance of engineering staff, responsible for the operation of engineering test equipment in a laboratory setting.
Reports model testing status and results to departmental Supervisor/Manager and Engineers as appropriate.
Give assistance to documentation of manufacturing methods and procedures. Material handling e.g., shipping and receiving. Assists in model fabrication, assembly, theoretical tuning, and design development. Modify antenna prototypes, parts, and assemblies correct functional deviations.
Operate fabricating equipment including PCB milling machine, hand soldering tools, drill press, and related hand tools!
Assists in the maintenance of far field, near field and Lab equipment.
Performs routine RF measurements of antenna design parameters.
Operate Test equipment including power meters, network analyzers, PIM analyzers, antenna range software, (far field and near field) etc.
Troubleshoot and repair problems in completed assemblies, modify if necessary. Will trouble shoot an electronic problem area to determine cause and remedy problem. Able to document work instructions and simple test reports.
A Technician, RF should be knowledgeable in the use of a PC, HP Analyzers, Test Range measurement hard ware (e.g. positioner, winch), and company vehicles. Software applications used in antenna design and engineering and all types of test equipment commonly used in RF design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
Role will involve working in rotational shifts.
Education & experience:
Diploma with preferably 3 years of related experience or BE with preferably 2 years of related experience.
Skills required:
Must Have soldering skills, being able to find out between a good and bad solder joint.
Must have assembly experience.
Debugging and repair of Networking products/Washing Machines/Medical equipment’s.
Production failure repair and not servicing and repair of after sales products. Repair experience in Factory preferred.

Understanding of TD, Port Extensions, Smith Chart, RL, ISO, PIM
Experience in RF test instruments like Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers
Can operate two or more Test Range types and troubleshoot at least one.
Ability to troubleshoot circuits and read schematics.
Able to tune and troubleshoot without supervision.
Experience Excel formulas, PowerPoint simple programming skills
Works well as an equal in a technician team and demonstrates team leadership skills.
Able to work on multiple tasks and expedite tasks.
Recognized as top performer by internal customers.
Able to document work instructions and simple test reports.
