We are looking out a Manager Engineering to join our Structures & Connectivity Engineering R&D Team in Goa!

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

The ideal candidate will be fully proficient in the subject matter or functional areas of assignment. Employs a broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable subject area. Sufficiently understands customer requirements and delivers results that meet customer needs.

Provides innovative resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems.

Manager of the Microwave mixed field product development team India and Act as Leader of the Team with responsibility for coordinating the work of Engineers, drafters, technicians and other personnel across multiple Research and Development projects as well as cost reduction activities.

Reporting on engineering work progress. Active Development of local engineering team capabilities. Introduction of new technologies and processes

Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Planning of weekly team project tasks. Accountable for the overall mechanical structural design or RF design of new and existing Antenna and Microwave components.

Meeting project cost and development timelines. Demonstrates an innovative, dynamic hands-on approach to problem solving and designs through product qualification to manufacture. Provide technical support to our Production, Quality and Product Line departments.

Travel to provide necessary assistance to our vendor and customer base.

Devises innovative approaches to problems. Works on sophisticated problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Applies research to planning, design and development of RF and mechanical systems, instruments and/or controls.

Conducts feasibility studies and tests new modified designs. May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions.

Work is reviewed at appropriate landmarks to ensure that overall objectives are being met; Gives technical guidance on intricate problems and supervisory approval for projects. Work significantly impacts achievement of business unit goals. Has proven track record of successfully completed assignments.

Represents the Engineering business unit on projects in India location. Is capable and willing to have effective customer and supplier interactions and/or frequent inter-organization contacts.

Where applicable, please refer to the Company’s “Schedule of Authority” in order to identify approved spending levels.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelors in mechanical or RF Electrical engineering.

  • Preferably 12+ of work experience involving the use of Mechanical Engineering/RF Engineering principles and practices, as well as knowledge of typical manufacturing processes.

  • Experience of working in high volume manufacturing industry

  • Experience in leading successful projects

If from Mechanical Engineering background:

  • Proficient in SolidWorks 3D modelling and assemblies or equivalent 3D packages and SAP preferred.

  • Understanding of FEA and other simulation software.

  • Proven understanding of DFM, FMEA, and geometric tolerancing.

  • Experience in CNC and high pressure die casting design.

If from RF Engineer Background:

  • Proficient in simulation software such as CST, HFSS, Quickwave or relevant other

  • Experienced use of RF test equipment

  • Experience and use of MATLAB

  • Microwave product design

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

  • Good understanding of a range of current manufacturing techniques including die casting, sheet metal fabrications and machining

  • Creation and coordination of procedures and new process documentation

  • Must possess good oral/written communication skills;

  • Requires the ability to regularly contact, influence and negotiate with both internal and external individuals on complex issues; and to respond to inquiries and complaints with tact and diplomacy.

  • Understanding and experience of the manufacture of Microwave RF products preferable!
